ARCHIVED - Andalucia eases restrictions for catering industry: opening times extended for bars
The maximum number of people allowed in wedding venues for events is also being raised
The Junta de Andalucía is proposing relaxations to Covid restrictions in response to a fall in the number of Covid cases in the region this week. The measures, which include allowing clubs, bars and restaurants to stay open for longer, are set to come into effect at midnight on Wednesday September 1 as the region’s incidence rate falls below the extreme risk zone.
Specifically, the regional government in Andalucía will now allow bars and restaurants to close at 2.00 in the morning, and keep serving until 1.00. For nightclubs, opening hours are being extended to 3.30 in the morning but they must stop serving drinks at 3.00.
Meanwhile, the maximum number of people allowed in function rooms for weddings and other celebrations will be raised to 250 in areas classified as Level 1, or low-risk for Covid. Fairgrounds, theme parks, ice cream parlours and crematoriums are all also set to enjoy more freedom when it comes to opening times and maximum capacity.
