ARCHIVED - Dutch fugitive arrested in Malaga bus station
The 25-year-old had been hiding in the region of Andalucía since Dutch authorities issued a European Arrest Warrant in December
A fugitive on the run from Dutch authorities has been apprehended by Spanish police in Málaga, Andalucía, after being identified at the bus station.
The 25-year-old was wanted in Holland, where authorities issued a European Arrest Warrant back in December, for crimes relating to public order, state security and drug trafficking.
He was identified at Málaga bus station after showing Spanish authorities a fake ID. He was subsequently arrested and is now being charged with the crime of falsifying documents in addition to his previous offences.
The young criminal escaped to Spain after Dutch police confiscated three firearms, 840 ecstasy tablets and 997 grams of cocaine from his vehicle.
