ARCHIVED - Free entry to Cartagena Marine Archaeology Museum extended until end of October
Visitors to the permanent exhibition at Arqua Cartagena can get in free of charge until October 31
The National Marine Archeological Museum in Cartagena, the ‘Arqua Cartagena’, is extending its offer of free entry to all visitors throughout the month of October.
Located at 22, Paseo Alfonso XII in Cartagena, the Arqua museum is normally free to visit from 2pm on Saturdays and Sunday mornings until 3pm. However, visitors to the museum have been able to access the permanent exhibition free of charge in September, and the free entrance period continues to be extended.
Now, children and adults alike can visit the ‘Museo Nacional de Arqueología Subacuática’ until October 31 without having to book in advance.
The museum houses thousands of treasures which have been recovered from the deep, just like the collection of Roman coins that was discovered by amateur divers just up the coast in Javea last month.
