ARCHIVED - Hospitalisations in Andalusia fall to 570; the lowest figure since last September
The latest data released on Sunday June 20 show that the number of hospital patients across Andalucía has fallen by 97 this week
On Sunday June 20, the Junta de Andalucía reported the fourth consecutive drop over the last 24 hours in the number of patients hospitalized with coronavirus, the figures published on Sunday falling by 44 patients to 570, the lowest figure since September 3 when there were 566 patients in the hospitals of the eight provinces of the region.
During the last week the total has fallen by 97 from 667.
This is a significant improvement on the peaks registered in the three “waves” of the pandemic; the highest point was during the third wave on February 2 (4,980), in the second on November 10 (3,478) and in the first on March 30, 2020 (2,708).
The total of those admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) rose by three in the latest 24-hour period to 145, which concludes the week with five patients in ICU less than on Sunday of last week when there were 150 patients in intensive care.
Andalusia is also well below the peak of the third wave reached on February 7 (735), that of the second on November 18 (528) and that of the first on March 30, 2020 (439 ).
