ARCHIVED - Man arrested in Almeria for allegedly kicking dog to death
The man has been charged after allegedly kicking his neighbour’s dog to death in Albox, Almeria.
The Guardia Civil have arrested a man in Albox, Almeria, on suspicion of killing his neighbour’s dog by kicking it in the head.
The incident took place on Friday, June 4 when the animal’s owner told police he had found his dog dead and with a head wound in the middle of the street near his home.
Police from the Guardia Civil began investigating and reportedly found evidence which showed that a man had cornered the dog and intentionally kicked it in the head. According to officers, the suspect was wearing heavy boots when he assaulted the animal and checked to make sure he had not been seen and that he had no blood on his shoes before leaving it for dead.
Minutes later, the suspect allegedly told the dog’s owner that someone had killed the animal and even helped to move its body.
The man has now been arrested for animal abuse and has reportedly admitted killing the dog. His case has been handed over to the Huercal Overa Investigating Court.
