ARCHIVED - Perverted Seville doctor sent to prison for filming non-consensual private videos of his patients
The doctor took advantage of his position of power to record more than 100 female patients in Sevilla, Andalucía
Officers from the Guardia Civil in the Andalucía province of Sevilla have arrested a 64-year-old doctor after he was accused of videoing his patients’ intimate parts without their knowledge or consent.
The videos were taken both at medical centres at which he works and at private residences, as the doctor also made house-calls, and it is estimated that the number of victims could reach over 100 in total.
An investigation was launched after a woman, who had gone to the doctor’s office due to a pain in her chest, accused the 64-year-old of filming her breasts while carrying out an auscultation. The police then looked into the incident and found a video of a “sexual nature” of the woman on his phone, along with several other clips which revealed that the perverted doctor had been filming these kinds of videos for over two years.
The detainee had been taking advantage of his position as a doctor to film womens’ vaginas, breasts and anuses using his mobile phone. In order to film his victims, the doctor placed his mobile phone in his shirt pocket with the camera facing outwards, allowing him to record female patients without their knowledge.
In addition to these videos taken in medical centres and in private residences, the doctor also filmed women in public places and roads.
Health centres in Morón de la Frontera, Badolatosa, Estepa and Sevilla city were all frequented by the doctor and police have since searched two of these centres, as well as three private residences, in an attempt to gather further evidence against the man.
During the searches, police seized several laptops, a ‘spy pen’ and several mass storage hard drives and the 64-year-old has been imprisoned preventatively while he awaits trail due to the serious nature of his crimes.
