ARCHIVED - Rembrandt paintings on display in Almeria until October 24
Two paintings by the iconic Dutch artist can be visited by the public at the ‘Doña Pakyta’ Art Museum in Andalucía
The ‘Doña Pakyta’ Art Museum in the city of Almería will be displaying two paintings by the iconic Dutch artist Rembrandt as part of their seasonal ‘Obra invitada’ exhibition until October 24.
Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn is a well-known artist and historical figure as well as being widely recognized across the globe as one of the most important Baroque painters. He painted over a hundred works of art between 1625 and 1669.
The pieces on display in Almería are ‘Presentation of Jesus in the Temple’ painted in 1631 and ‘Character’, complete with the seal of Chalcography from the Louvre Museum in Paris.
‘Doña Pakyta’ Museum will be in possession of the historic paintings until October 24 and art-lovers can visit the display for free from Tuesday to Saturday between 10.30am and 1.30pm and 6pm and 9pm and on Sundays from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
