ARCHIVED - Runaway horse causes chaos on Seville road
The horse, which was hitched to a tourist carriage, was unhurt but the driver was injured and three vehicles damaged
A runaway horse has caused chaos in the Triana district of the city of Seville. The animal, which was harnessed to one of the city’s iconic horse-drawn carriages, was going in the wrong direction down the road, forcing traffic to a standstill.
The incident occurred at around 9am on Tuesday January 17 in the Los Remedios area of the city. The horse carriage driver, aged 35, fell to the ground and suffered injuries to his leg. In addition, three other vehicles travelling along the road were damaged, as reported by Emergencias de Sevilla.
The horse itself was unharmed and was removed swiftly from the road thanks by the Seville Local Police.
