ARCHIVED - Schoolchildren visit Aguilas Town Hall to celebrate Constitution Day
Mediterráneo School pupils visited the town hall on the occasion of the Día de la Constitución
Primary school pupils from the Colegio Mediterráneo school in Águilas have visited the Town Hall building to mark the occasion of the celebrations for Spain’s Constitution Day, which is held annually on December 6.
As December 6 Constitution Day is a holiday, there is no school, so the pupils visited the Town Hall on Monday 5, accompanied on their tour by the Councillor for Education, Francis Gallego.
The Councillor who explained aspects of the workings of the public administration, as well as the development of the plenary sessions. The children also visited the mayor’s office and the Plenary Hall, where they sat in the seats of the councillors of the municipal corporation.
Spreading information and educating future generations about the Constitution and the democratic process is an important activity in maintaining the hard-won peace and order in Spain, and it’s a responsibility that Águilas Town Hall takes seriously.
