ARCHIVED - Seville scooter rider, 38, critically injured after being run over by a car
The 21-year-old driver of the car tested negative for alcohol
A 38-year-old man is in a critical condition after being run over by a car while riding a scooter on Montes Sierra Avenue in Seville on Wednesday night, June 15.
According to official sources, a 21-year-old driver hit the scooter rider shortly before 11.30pm and caused several serious injuries, including a severe blow to the head. Paramedics from the Seville Emergency Services treated the victim at the scene for 50 minutes and succeeded in reviving him, before transferring the man to hospital.
The Seville Local Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident but have confirmed that the young driver of the car tested negative for alcohol.
