ARCHIVED - Tango Malaga Festival pays homage to Astor Piazzolla on July 30 and 31 Malaga, Andalusia
This year is the 100th anniversary of the famous composer’s birth
Astor Piazzolla, the father of Tango as we know it today and the source of inexpressible frustration for budding violinists attempting to tackle one of his fiendishly difficult compositions.
Love him or hate him, his contribution to music is undeniable and these two performances pay tribute to his genius in the seventh edition of the festival Tango Málaga taking place in the Teatro Echegaray in Málaga on July 30 and 31.
Tickets for each of the two nights of entertainment, which combine poetry, music and dance, cost just 15 euros per session, featuring Tangoria on the 30th and the duet of the bandoneonist Daniel Binelli and pianist Polly Ferman on the 31st, with friends.
Tickets are now on sale for the two dates (8.30 pm on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 July, 15 euros single price) at the usual ticketing points for the theatre: box office, phone. 902 360295 and 952 076262 and Internet www.teatroechegaray.es and www.unientradas.es).
