ARCHIVED - Devastation in Otura, Granada, as fire ravages ham warehouses
The column of smoke from the blaze in the Suspiro del Moro area was visible from all over Granada city (Andalusia).

Firefighters have finally managed to put out a fire that began at about 7.45 pm on Wednesday in Otura, Granada, and has destroyed four ham warehouses.
Teams from North and South Granada fire stations battled for hours to get the flames under control with the assistance of personnel from Armilla airbase, the Infoca forest fighting service and Civil Protection.
Although the fire is now out, the firefighters were unable to save the warehouses. Luckily when it started the premises were empty due to the time of day, so nobody was harmed.
The mayor of Otura has reported that the cause of the fire has yet to be determined and promised that the council will do everything they can to help the company that owns the warehouses rebuild, as the business employs many locals and generates direct and indirect income for the town.
