5 best Malaga beaches for kids and families
These Andalucía beaches have something to offer for all ages
Malaga is one of the Costa del Sol’s most popular destinations, offering everything from pristine sand banks and crystal waters. Here are some of the province’s best beaches to keep the whole family entertained this summer.
1. Playa de la Malagueta
Featuring 1,200 metres of sandy shore, Malagueta beach is one of the most visited in the province. Located in the city of Malaga, the idyllic stretch offers lifeguards, showers and a children’s play area with gentle waves to suit all ages.
2. Playa del Peñón del Cuervo
Known in English as Raven Rock beach, this enclave takes its name from the huge rock formation that divides it. It’s the perfect day out for all the family, with regular concerts and cultural activities a unique feature. It also had a dedicated barbeque area for public use.
