ARCHIVED - Almeria town hit by 3.5 magnitude earthquake
The quake's epicentre was recorded in Carboneras in Andalusia
An earthquake registering 3.5 on the Richter scale rocked the Almeria town of Carboneras on Thursday morning, prompting numerals emergency calls from concerned residents.
The tremors were felt at 1.34am, according to Emergencies 112 Andalusia, and although there were several reports from the public, the earthquake doesn't appear to have caused any personal injury or damage to property.
The National Geographic Institute has confirmed the seismic activity was recorded in the southwest of Carboneras at a depth of 13 kilometres.
"The Emergency 112 attended throughout the night several calls from citizens alerted by the movement, with no outstanding incidents reported by any of them," said the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administration.
