We’re heading into another warm and settled weekend in Andalucía, with sunshine sticking around and those afternoon highs still pushing well into the 30s for most of us. That said, the far west will start to feel a little more bearable compared to the earlier part of the week. Skies will stay mostly clear, with some cloud bubbling up over the sierras in the afternoons. Winds will be light and manageable, with the usual stronger gusts around the Strait.

 

 

Thursday kicks off with mostly clear skies, though some cloud will develop later over the eastern sierras and might bring the odd storm or shower. It’s still feeling very hot inland: Córdoba is set to reach around 41ºC by the afternoon but the western third, including Huelva, will notice a slight drop in maximums. Winds will stay light and variable, though the Atlantic side will see a bit more of a southerly breeze, while the Mediterranean coast and Cádiz get a moderate easterly. It’ll be blustery through the Strait, especially around Tarifa.

 

 

Another fine day ahead, with clear skies across the board and the usual afternoon cloud inland. Overnight temperatures will ease off slightly, but it’ll still be a scorcher through the day in places like Seville, Jaén and Córdoba. Light winds will continue across most of the region, with some moderate easterlies along the Med coast and southerly breezes drifting through in the afternoon.

 

 

No big changes for Saturday - expect more sunshine, with a few clouds showing up later in the day over the higher ground. There could be some low morning cloud around the Strait and in Tarifa. Temperatures stay very warm but steady, and winds will remain light and variable overall.

 

The weekend rounds off much the same, with a mostly sunny outlook and a bit of afternoon cloud over the sierras again. Low cloud could appear in the Strait area early on. Temperatures will hold steady or climb slightly, especially along the coast near Málaga and Almería. Light winds continue across the board.

 

 

So, while it is still very much summer heat across the region, some areas might start to feel just a touch more comfortable than they have lately. It’s still sizzling inland, but with mostly clear skies and light winds, it’s a good excuse to slow things down, stay shaded and enjoy a cold drink (or two) wherever you are.
