ARCHIVED - Andalucia weather forecast April 10-16: Temperatures beat 30 degrees again
There is no rain and little wind forecast in southern Spain this week, making for sizzling conditions
This Sunday just gone, Andalucia towns and cities occupied nine out of ten of the top spots for the hottest places in Spain, with El Granado in Huelva, Fuente Palmera in Córdoba and Andújar in Jaén registering temperatures as high as 32.5ºC.
For the week ahead, there will frequently be temperatures in excess of 30ºC in Seville capital and its surroundings, but most areas of Andalucia will have pleasant highs that stay around the mid- to high-20s.
It will be sunny all week long, with not a drop of rain forecast, but frequent low cloud cover, especially later in the week.
Monday April 10 will be foggy all day long in the coastal resorts of Almeria and Carboneras, and on Tuesday 11 it will be the surfers’ beach paradise of Barbate in Cadiz that feels this fog.
It will be another windy week for the Strait of Gibraltar, with easterly winds around Ceuta of up to 35kmh, gusts which will sweep across the Costa del Sol and over to Almeria on Wednesday.
But overall it will not be nearly as windy in that area as last week, when weather warnings were issued for winds of 70-80kmh, and the rest of Andalucia will not be windy at all.
The ‘coolest’ day of the week will be Thursday April 13, when even in sweltering Seville it barely reaches 27ºC, and other towns remain in the low-20s.
Over the weekend, this will go back up again, though, and temperatures will reach their highest point of the week on Sunday April 16, with a whopping 35ºC in Seville.

- Tuesday April 11: Min 7ºC; Max 34ºC
- Wednesday April 12: Min 8ºC; Max 30ºC
- Thursday April 13: Min 6ºC; Max 27ºC
- Friday April 14: Min 5ºC; Max 30ºC
- Saturday April 15: Min 8ºC; Max 31ºC
- Sunday April 16: Min 8ºC; Max 35ºC
