Periods of cloud and rain expected, but temperatures are set to rise and some sunshine will break through
This week in Andalucía, the weather will bring a mix of clouds, rain, and some much-needed sunshine. While we won’t be seeing any extreme weather, occasional showers and light winds will continue, particularly in the western and mountainous regions. Thankfully, temperatures will begin to climb, offering a slight respite from the recent chill. Here’s your day-by-day forecast:Monday March 24

Expect mostly cloudy skies across the region with the possibility of light showers, particularly in the Sierra de las Nieves and areas near the Strait of Gibraltar. Snow will continue to fall at higher altitudes, with the snowline gradually rising from 1200m to 1600m throughout the day. Morning mist and fog are likely on the Atlantic coast, but the day will see generally mild conditions. Temperatures will remain stable on the Mediterranean side, but elsewhere, we can expect slightly cooler weather and light frosts in the higher ground. Winds will be light to moderate from the west, with occasional stronger gusts along the Mediterranean coast and in the eastern mountain ranges. Cities like Granada and Jaén might see some fog, while Málaga will enjoy a relatively dry day with the possibility of a few passing clouds.

The weather will follow a similar pattern with cloudy intervals, but rain showers are expected to intensify during the afternoon, particularly on the Mediterranean coast. Some storms may accompany these heavier showers, especially in Málaga, Almería, and Motril. Snow levels will sit between 1500m and 1700m, but will rise later in the day. Mist and fog are likely to persist on the Atlantic side, especially in the morning. Temperatures will rise across much of Andalucía, with minimum temperatures holding steady on the Mediterranean coast. Winds will remain light, with a northward breeze inland and moderate westerlies along the coast. Seville and Córdoba could experience some brief spells of sunshine, but these will be interrupted by periods of cloud.

Wednesday will bring more sunshine to the region, though expect increasing cloudiness in the interior areas, especially in the afternoon. Morning mist will linger in the coastal regions, particularly on the Atlantic side. Temperatures will rise slightly, and while there may be no significant rain, some light showers could occur in the inland mountains. Winds will remain light, shifting from the north inland to westerly near the coast. Cities such as Huelva and Cádiz are likely to experience mostly clear skies with a few clouds in the afternoon, while Granada and Córdoba may see some cloud development later in the day.
