Refugee families are fleeing Ukraine in their droves for safer territories, and this Thursday March 3, the Minister of Education and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, Javier Imbroda, assured that any children arriving in the community will “immediately” be enrolled in educational centres and that “they will be well taken care of.”

Speaking at the inauguration of the expansion works of the Alto Conquero Institute, the minister confirmed that the Governing Council had declared their support for the Ukrainian people and openly condemned the Russian invasion. As a result, the “necessary” resources have been made available to receive refugees.

Mr Imbroda acknowledged that there will “obviously” be children among their number, and so “all resources” will be made available and their immersion will be carried out “in a coordinated manner” with other governing bodies, such as Equality or Employment.

The minister wrapped up the meeting by stressing that Andalucía “is a land of solidarity”, and that the regional administration is “prepared in all areas” to “be able to serve all those families and children”.
