Andalusia forecast to get much-needed rain this week: Weather September 11-17
The storm clouds will move in across the south of Spain at the end of this week

After last week’s heavy downpours in Spain, the depleted reservoirs of water in Andalucía were somewhat replenished following an exceedingly dry summer, and now more rain is on the way at the end of this week as we begin the approach to autumn.
That said, the temperatures will remain largely unchanged from the levels they have been at for the last couple of weeks, with lows in the mid-teens at night-time and reaching up to highs in the high-20s or over 30ºC during the day.
The week starts off with rain in the western and eastern extremes of the autonomous community of Andalucía on Monday September 11, with showers forecast in the province of Huelva near the border with Portugal and in scattered inland parts of Granada, Jaén and Almería provinces.

Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 will be dry for everybody in Andalucía, and in parts of rural Córdoba and Seville temperatures may even climb up as high as 34-35ºC once again.
However, while the warm temperatures persist into Thursday 14 and beyond, the sunny conditions are due to change and we can expect creeping rainclouds to start sweeping in from the Mediterranean, covering the Costa del Sol and Cádiz with episodes of “light rain”.

By Friday September 15, the rain will have spread to the entire region, blanketing the south of Spain with dark clouds, showers and thunderstorms. For Saturday 16 and Sunday 17, the dark clouds will die back a bit and there is currently no more dramatic thunder and lightning forecast, but it will still be very wet in many parts.
