Andalusia to get blessed rain this week: Weather forecast June 3-9
Many parts of the region will be lucky enough to get rain this week, though not those places most affected by drought

While it remains hot this week in Andalucía, we can thankfully expect some rainfall to help this parched southern part of the Spanish mainland.
There will be a yellow alert issued for Cádiz and the Strait of Gibraltar this Monday June 3 for strong winds, “with a slight chance of occasional drizzle” according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). There will also be “cloudy skies in the sierras, without ruling out occasional showers and thunderstorms, more likely and intense during the afternoon and in the north and east of the region”.

This chance of showers continues across the course of the week in the mountainous parts of Granada and Jaén provinces, while the rest of Andalucía stays “fairly cloudy” with “clear skies”.

Temperatures will rise towards the middle of the week, even reaching up to 40ºC again in parts of Córdoba and Seville, but mostly ranging around the mid-30s as the maximum in most places. At night, temperatures will remain stable, around the teens or into the low-20s on the coast.

Towards next weekend, though, much larger swathes of the Andalucía region will be lucky enough to get significant amounts of rain, including Huelva and the west, though most parts of the provinces of Málaga and Almería – the two which have been hardest hit by droughts so far this year – will unfortunately not be forecast to receive much rain at all.
