April arrives with new wave of storms: Spain weather forecast Mar 31-Apr 3
It will be dry and mild in most of Spain until the middle of the week, when a fresh wave of storms is set to hit

Weather outlook on Thursday April 3
March is bidding us farewell with some very pleasant weather but sadly, this isn’t set to last and we’ll need to dig out the umbrellas again before the week is out. Barring some isolated showers in the Mediterranean and Canary Islands, it should remain dry and bright until Wednesday but big changes are afoot from then on.
Storm Nuria is expected to hit western Spain on April 2, effectively opening the door to several more Atlantic squalls. To begin with the rain will be most likely between the Balearic Islands and the Valencian Community, but it will quickly spread inland before sweeping across the west of Spain.
Monday March 31

The settled weather will continue across the country on Monday thanks to an anticyclone in the north of Spain, with clear skies forecast throughout.
Day-time temperatures will shoot up, particularly in the extreme north and south, hitting a summery 26ºC in Murcia.
Intervals of strong winds are expected in Andalucía, the Balearic Islands and Catalonia, where weather alerts have been activated for rough sea conditions.
Tuesday April 1

Clear skies with intervals of high clouds across the country on Tuesday, with no rainfall aside from the odd light shower in western Andalucía.
Day-time temperatures will take a dip in the southwest and along the northern Mediterranean coast, with few changes expected elsewhere. The mercury should reach 22ºC in Alicante and 24ºC in Malaga.
Wednesday April 2

The storm clouds will start to gather on Wednesday with rain forecast in the northeast and the Balearic Islands from the early hours. This will spread throughout the day to other northern areas, while a low pressure system in the west of Spain will increase cloud cover in the west, with rain later in the day.
Day-time temperatures will plummet across the board.
Thursday April 3

A persistent Atlantic low pressure system will result in very cloudy or overcast skies with widespread rain throughout the country, although it will be less intense along the Mediterranean coast and in the Balearic Islands.
However, day-time temperatures should creep up slightly in the east of Spain, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, while dropping in the west.
