British company Taylor Wimpey invests €26 million in luxury La Manga Club development
The first phase of the Siena development will bring high-end apartments to La Manga Club & Resort by February 2028
A major new housing development is on the way to La Manga del Mar Menor after British builder Taylor Wimpey confirmed a €26 million investment in the area.
The project, which will be known as Siena, will be the company’s first development in La Manga and signals a fresh push to expand further along Spain’s Mediterranean coast.
Taylor Wimpey is one of the UK’s largest housebuilders, with a long track record of residential developments both in Britain and overseas. Its Spanish division has been active for decades, focusing mainly on high quality homes in popular coastal locations aimed at international buyers.
According to details released by the company earlier this week, the first phase of Siena will consist of modern three bedroom, two bathroom apartments. These will be split between ground floor properties with private gardens and terraces, and upper floor homes featuring terraces and rooftop solariums.
The development will be built within the well known La Manga Club resort, giving residents access to a wide range of facilities. The resort is home to 11 restaurants, along with golf courses and a spa linked to the five star hotel operated by Hyatt.
Buyers can expect shared spaces designed for both relaxation and family life. Plans include swimming pools, landscaped gardens, a children’s play area and a dedicated space that could be used as a gym or multi purpose room.
Construction of this first phase is expected to be completed by February 2028.
Looking ahead, a second phase is already in the pipeline. This will introduce townhouses and villas, also with three bedrooms, offering more choice for buyers looking to settle in the area. These properties are set to be positioned to make the most of sunlight, with most facing south, east or west.
Like the initial phase, the next stage will also include communal facilities such as pools, gardens, a play area and a gym.
