Camposol neighbourhood association AVC reported to be disbanding
The news comes from a Facebook post, not an official statement

The most recently formed of the Camposol ubranisation's resident associations, the Asociación de Vecinos de Camposol (AVC), is reportedly being disbanded, according to an informal announcement by member Francisca González, better known as Paca.
While no official statement has yet been released by the AVC, Paca's Facebook post on the association's Facebook group suggests that the AVC will soon be no more.
It reads: "At the extraordinary meeting held yesterday, November 22nd, in accordance with all legal requirements, with the assistance of an interpreter and the presence of the Camposol councilwoman to certify the agreements and votes, it was reported that there were no candidates for a new Board of Directors.
"The members present voted unanimously to dissolve the AVC.
"From this moment on, this group has no affiliation whatsoever with AVC, and any news or comments posted will be personal and in no way related to AVC. I also inform you that I am leaving the group and its administration, and I request that the group's creator either dissolve it or change its name."
The AVC was formed in October 2024 as a platform for Camposol residents and homeowners to liaise with Mazarrón Town Council on local issues.
Over the last year, it has been without an official treasurer for several months, and the board members have been subject to changes.
The AVC has of late been active in the campaign to stop the biogas plant from being built right next to the Camposol urbanisation, and at one point claimed to have raised over €1,000 to support those efforts.
However, the lack of an official treasurer and a bank account belonging to the association mean that, following the possibly imminent dissolution of the group, several members and donors to the cause have questions over where that money has gone.
The AVC are reported to be having another meeting on Friday November 28, so there may be more updates after that.
