The public bus services in Spain are run by a number of different private companies, each contracted for a specific route or set of routes, which change according to demand and the season.

The bus and train station are within a 5 minute walk of each other in Cartagena, and within a 10 minute walk of the City centre and old quarter.

Plaza Bastarrache is the formal address given for the railway station, although it is in fact a couple of hundred metres from the Plaza. The bus station is virtually in the Plaza as well, just on the edge of it, so connecting between the two is easy.
