ARCHIVED - Eagerly-awaited debut Albox Novemberfest beer festival: December 2-4
Strong wind forced the Almeria municipality to postpone the popular German beer festival initially scheduled for November 18
Following a disappointing cancellation due to strong winds last month, the much-anticipated Albox 'Novemberfest' is set to get underway for the first time in Almanzora Valley on Friday December 2 with three days of authentic German beer and music.
The programme remains much the same as was originally planned, with all activities taking place in a massive tent located in Plaza Mayor.
Doors will open at midday until 2am, and organisers promise a "fantastic weekend of music, beer and gatronomy".
"We believe will have more people than initially expected due to the postponement," they added.
Over the course of the festival there will be a live Queen tribute act, 80s and 90s music, various DJs and a performance by Almeria pop-rock cover band, Los Lagartos.
There will be food trucks, children's entertainment and "various surprises".
The festival is promoted by Carpatop in collaboration with Albox Town Hall, and, as was the case with the German 'Oktoberfest', one of the star beer brands will be Paulaner.
