There was an earthquake in western Almeria early this morning, at around 6.11am on Monday April 4, with the epicentre very close to the popular golf resort of Cuevas del Almanzora.

The quake originated at a depth of 4km and measured in at a magnitude of 2.0 mbLg, meaning it was on the low end of the Richter scale and not very serious.

No damage to property or to life has been reported.
