ARCHIVED - easyJet expands routes between France and Malaga, Spain from 2023
The budget airline has announced a new link between the Costa del Sol and Lyon, France from next summer

British multinational low-cost airline, easyJet, has announced plans to expand its routes between Spain's Malaga and France from next summer.
The new link will connect the Costa del Sol airport with Lyon twice a week (Tuesdays and Saturdays) from June 3, 2023, and tickets are already on sale.
This is the second connection from Malaga to a French city offered by the budget operator, with passengers already able to fly from the province to Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.
EasyJet has three bases in Spain (where aircraft and staff remain), one of which is the seasonal base in Malaga, inaugurated in 2021 and operational throughout the summer.
Andalusia is one of the most popular destinations in easyJet's global network, and since 1999, the airline has carried almost 38 million passengers to and from the region.
In fact, this year, the airline increased its passenger capacity in Malaga to 1.9 million seats, a leap of almost 150% compared to 2021.
