ARCHIVED - Fatal hunting accident leaves man dead in Huelva
The victim was fatally shot during a hunting trip in Almonte, Huelva province

A man was fatally shot during a hunting trip in the town of Almonte in Huelva province on Sunday January 23.
According to 112 Andalucía emergency service, a witness raised the alarm at around 11.45am, requesting emergency assistance for a hunter who had been shot in a wooded area close to La Rocina.
The Guardia Civil, an ambulance and medical helicopter were sent to the scene, but despite the efforts of paramedics, there was nothing they could to save the victim's life.
112 sources added that early indications point to an “unfortunate accident”.
At the moment, there are no further details relating to the circumstances surrounding the shooting, or the man’s age or identity.

Last month, a cyclist in Alicante suffered more than 100 pellet wounds when a hunter mistook him for a rabbit.
