Feria de Malaga 2022: August 12-20
The festivities of the Costa del Sol capital will last for over a week this summer

After two years away due to the pandemic, the Feria de Malaga fair is back and better than ever.
The first event of the Malaga Feria will take place on Friday August 12, with the customary firework display on the Playa Malagueta beach.
Then, on Saturday morning, August 13, the tradition of the pilgrimage of the standard bearer from the sanctuary of La Victoria to visit the patron saint of Malaga, Santa María de la Victoria, will parade through the city centre.
The Feria will formally start on Saturday August 13 (instead of on a Friday as it is most years), kicking off at night with the traditional pregón opening speech, plus the official switching on of the lights (despite a dictum from the EU to turn off lights on public monuments from 10pm to save energy) and a music concert in the Cortijo de Torres auditorium.
These events are being held at the auditorium instead of in the town centre to try and prevent crowds of young people drinking in street ‘botellones’.
The festivities will continue in the city centre until Saturday 20 August.
