Finnish man arrested at Fuengirola market after trying to grab five-year-old girl

Relatives and bystanders held suspect until Policía Local arrive and take him to court

A frightening moment unfolded at Fuengirola market this Sunday when a five-year-old girl was nearly snatched away from her family.

A man around 45 years old from Finland has been arrested in Fuengirola for allegedly trying to kidnap a five-year-old girl at the town market. The child was there with her father, who works at one of the stalls, when relatives noticed the stranger attempting to take her away.

Those present acted quickly to detain the suspect until Policía Local officers arrived on scene. The police arrested him immediately and took him before the courts to begin investigating the incident.

Fuengirola market was busy as usual that Sunday, but family members and bystanders kept the situation from escalating. Sources close to the case confirmed the man was held until authorities could take over.
