Five earthquakes recorded in less than 24 hours in the Gulf of Cádiz, one of 4.3 magnitude
The largest of this series of quakes could be felt in mainland Andalucía

An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 was recorded in the area of the Gulf of Cádiz on the morning of Monday March 24, according to the National Geographic Institute, which has also indicated that the earthquake could be felt in the towns of Lepe, Isla Cristina and Ayamonte, all three in Huelva.
The seismic movement occurred at 6.18am at a latitude of 36.43 degrees north and a longitude of 7.87 degrees west. According to the same source, the depth was 5 miles.
A few minutes later there was another quake, with a magnitude of 1.9, with an epicentre in the same area as the previous one. And prior to the largest of 4.3, there had been another, of 2.4, although in this case further away from the Andalusian coast.
In addition to the three tremors recorded early this Monday morning, the IGN recorded two more earthquakes on Monday, also in the area of the Gulf of Cádiz. In both cases, the tremors were of lower intensity and were not felt on the mainland.
The first (the fourth of the day) occurred at 8.10am, with a magnitude of 1.8; and the second (fifth of the day) was recorded at 1.49pm, with the same intensity.
None of these quakes were reported to have caused any damage or harm to property or people.
