Free 10-minute parking arrives at Seville airport
New P7 lot eases pick-ups and clears congestion near the terminal
Seville's San Pablo airport has opened a handy new express parking area called P7, right between the Arrivals tunnel and the car rental parking. The best bit? The first ten minutes are completely free, making those quick pick-ups and drop-offs much less stressful. With 164 spaces for all vehicle sizes, plus spots reserved for people with reduced mobility, it's designed to keep short-stay traffic moving smoothly. Aena says the lot will "make the loading and unloading of passengers more accessible and faster", especially for those nipping in to grab family or friends.
It's also a smart fix for a common headache at busy airports. No more private cars blocking access roads while waiting for arrivals, which often creates tailbacks and even blocks emergency routes. "This parking lot... will also help to decongest the access roads to the airport, where private vehicles usually park to receive family members, obstructing traffic," Aena explains.
For anyone flying in or out of Seville, whether you're a local heading to the Costa de la Luz or visitors exploring the city, this should cut down on circling the terminal and arguing over change. Just pull in, wait those ten courtesy minutes, and head off without digging for coins.
The new P7 slots perfectly into Seville airport's efforts to smooth operations as passenger numbers climb. Located so close to Arrivals, it's ideal for that five-minute stop to load suitcases or hug grandparents coming off their flight. And with spaces for larger vehicles too, even minivan drivers won't feel left out.
Regular travellers will appreciate how it keeps the main roads clear, especially during peak summer months when Andalucia's airports see a surge. Seville's already one of Spain's busiest regional hubs, so these practical upgrades make a real difference to the daily grind of airport runs.
Next time you're at Arrivals, look out for the P7 signs. Ten free minutes might just be the difference between a smooth hello or goodbye and a stressful crawl through traffic.
