German ex-MMA fighter shot in penis and anus outside Marbella padel club

The attack has been linked to debts and gangland feuds

Saman Baghi, a 34-year-old German bodybuilder and former MMA fighter, was shot multiple times outside the Real Club Padel in Marbella, Málaga, on Thursday January 2. The attack, believed to be a warning, left Baghi with injuries to his groin and leg but miraculously not life-threatening.

Baghi, a former enforcer for the Hell's Angels, was reportedly targeted due to outstanding debts and his history of violent dealings. Witnesses say the shooter, dressed in black gym attire, ambushed Baghi after he shared his location on Instagram.

Despite being hit three times, including a bullet that grazed his penis and another that struck his anus, Baghi managed to escape into the club. The assailant pursued him but fled when his gun jammed.

Baghi was treated at the Costa del Sol hospital and discharged the same day. Doctors believe he will make a full recovery, though two bullets will likely remain in his body due to the risks of removal.

Baghi, who boasts a jet-set lifestyle on Instagram to 77,000 followers, has previously survived an assassination attempt in Cologne in 2021. The ongoing violence highlights the region’s struggles with organised crime and mafia activity.

Other notorious Hell’s Angels members have repeatedly been up to no good in Spain, including the arrest of six of the bikers in Tenerife in 2023 for intimidation and coercion, in the same year, another German gang member who escaped extradition to face charges of drug trafficking in his own country when he was kicked off his flight due to rowdy behaviour.
