ARCHIVED - Gibraltar to offer fourth doses of Covid vaccine to everyone
Surplus doses means the additional vaccine will be made available to all age groups in Gibraltar
Following the successful roll-out of fourth Covid vaccines to the over 60s and high-risk groups, Gibraltar Health Authority (GHA) is now offering additional doses to all age groups who have already completed the vaccination programme.
The GHA currently has around 4,500 surplus doses in storage that are due to expire at the end of June, and having established "there are no safety concerns related to the roll-out of fourth doses", the Director of Public Health has advised that these should be made available to all those under the age of 60 who wish to receive one.

"Whilst infection in this cohort is not currently resulting in significant disease, a fourth dose may give added protection over and above that offered by the booster (third dose)," explained the GHA in a statement.
Vaccine clinics are operational Monday to Friday, from 2pm to 8pm, except on public holidays. A further clinic is scheduled for Saturday April 23 from 8am to 8pm. Call +350 200 66966 to find out more and book an appointment.
"Gibraltar has Covid-19 vaccines available and it is sensible to offer these to anyone who wishes to take a fourth dose for added protection. I encourage all those who wish to take an additional dose to arrange an appointment as soon as possible, before the end of June," added the Director of Public Health, Dr Helen Carter.
