ARCHIVED - Hands found near Marbella beach where decapitated body of murdered woman washed up
The macabre discovery was made by a member of the public at Calahonda dunes, 4km from Las Cañas beach, Marbella
After nine days of searching for the remains of a woman whose decapitated body washed up on Las Cañas beach in Marbella after she was allegedly brutally murdered by her ex-partner, two hands have been found in a sandy area 4km away.
46-year-old Natalie's headless corpse was spotted floating in the sea on January 8. Her hands had been cut off and she had a large cut from one side of her stomach to the other.
An extensive search operation was launched to try to locate the remainder of the victim's body. And at 3.15pm on Tuesday January 17, Emergencias Andalucía 112 received a call from a woman who had been walking along Calahonda beach dunes when she spotted what appeared to be a hand in the sand.
National Police scoured the beach and located a second hand.
Although investigators are waiting for forensic and DNA tests to confirm the find, sources claim "everything seems to indicate that the limbs found correspond to Natalia".

The Local Brigade of the Scientific Police have matched the fingerprint of the index finger of one of the hands to that of the Colombian woman who was allegedly murdered by her ex-partner, also Colombian.
Lionel H., a 45-year-old married man with two children, was in a relationship with the deceased, a domestic worker, for five months. During this time he allegedly physically abused her.
He was arrested following a complaint from the woman's relatives regarding Natalie's disappearance and relationship with the detainee. After initially denying any involvement in her death, he eventually admitted to killing Natalie. He even took part in a chilling reconstruction on the beach where he violently murdered her.

He told police he had arranged to meet Natalie at Las Cañas beach on January 7. He said he "gave his ex-girlfriend a blow" before chopping off her head and hands and throwing her corpse into the sea.
Lionel H. has been remanded in prison.
Meanwhile, a team from the Guardia Civil's Underwater Activities Group (GEAS) are still searching for Natalie's head and have extended the search towards the Calahonda area.
