The health centre in San Miguel de Salinas is a large modern building almost directly opposite the Town Hall on Calle 19 de Abril, the main road which runs into the centre of the town from the north.

The family doctor and specialist consultancy services are open every weekday morning from 8.30 to 14.00, and there is also a 24-hour emergency unit at the centre, making it unnecessary to journey to the coast. The main public hospital serving the residents of San Miguel de Salinas is the one in Torrevieja (T: 965 721200), which boasts an extremely good reputation, and over the border in the Region of Murcia the Los Arcos hospital in San Javier is also close at hand.
