Heatwave continues in Andalusia: Weekly weather forecast July 22-28
Southern Spain is in for another summer scorcher
Andalucía weather warnings, Wednesday July 24
The heatwave shows no sign of abating in Spain’s southern region of Andalucía this week, with temperatures forecast to be over 40ºC again in parts of Córdoba, Sevilla and Jaén, as well as the inland areas of rural Huelva and Granada.
It comes after a weekend in which Andalucía registered some of the hottest temperatures in all of Spain, with the weather station at Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport showing over 40ºC on Sunday July 21 and Coín (also in the province of Málaga) getting up to 43.4ºC on Saturday afternoon, at around 6.40pm.
While the weather will be gloriously sunny – prompting yellow and orange weather alerts in much of the west and north of the region – it will be quite windy on Monday July 22 and Tuesday 23 in the province of Cádiz and Antequera (Málaga), with windspeeds of 35-40kmh.

After that, the wind will be much calmer for the rest of the week. Some cloud cover will drift across Almería and the southeast later in the week, and in the early mornings Aemet says there could be fog or mist on the coast.
What is not expected is a single drop of rainfall all week long, so remember to be sparing in your use of water!

- Saturday July 27: Min 19ºC; Max 40ºC
