La Manga Club among luxury resorts predicted to grow in Spain in Q2 2024
The luxury property sector in Spain is booming, and La Manga Club is becoming one of the nation’s market leaders
Spain is a popular destination for purchasing luxury property, not least of all thanks to its Golden Visa scheme, and research into the luxury housing market has found that La Manga Club is one of the top luxury resorts forecast to grow during the second quarter of 2024.
A study prepared by Grupo Tecnitasa on luxury housing found that, since 2018, the number of transactions of properties worth between 1.5 million euros and 5 million euros has risen by 500%, while sales of homes worth more than 5 million have increased ninefold.
Indeed, while the rest of the residential property segments in Spain experienced a slowdown in 2023, the luxury sector has remained resilient, so that Spain is now ranked as the fourth luxury destination worldwide.
For this second quarter of 2024, growth is expected to be moderate compared to 2023 but still steady, with mainly foreigners buyers investing in luxury Spanish real estate. While Madrid and Barcelona lead the market, the Region of Murcia is fast positioning itself as a market leader when it comes to demand for luxury property
The most popular up-and-coming luxury areas for this quarter will be residential resorts and urbanisations with luxury hotel complexes such as Abama Resort Tenerife, Sotogrande in Cádiz, La Zagaleta on the Costa del Sol and La Manga Club Golf & Resort, mainly thanks to their attractive per-square-metre price stability and medium-term profitability as they are all investments that are considered ‘safe’.
