Los Montesinos is to get its first ever dog park
Located in La Herrada urbanisation, the park will have an area of 1,500m2
Los Montesinos, Alicante, will have its first dog park at the beginning of 2025 after the Town Council began work this week on its construction. The park will be 1,500 square metres and will be located in La Herrada urbanisation.
There will be equipments in the park for the dogs, inlcuding agility materials. The new doggy park should take no more than three months to complete and will have a budget of around 36,000 euros.
The mayor of the municipality, José Manuel Butrón, has assured that this park “is a commitment made to neighbours who had been demanding a recreational space for pets in Los Montesinos”.
Butrón continued by highlighting that there is a “growing animal awareness at a social and institutional level” and that Los Montesinos council will continue to implement animal protection and welfare policies.
Residents can look forward to the dog park being ready for use by the start of next year.
