ARCHIVED - Magnitude 2.7 earthquake felt in several Granada towns
The epicentre of the seismic activity was located in the Granada province town Chauchina

An earthquake of magnitude 2.7 on the Richter scale with its epicentre in Chauchina was felt in several parts of the province of Granada on Tuesday morning December 7.
According to the National Geographic Institute (IGN), the quake occurred at 7.47am. Although the depth has not been confirmed, tremors were felt in several municipalities in the province, including: Vegas del Genil, Santa Fe, Fuente Vaqueros, Albolote, Cúllar Vega, Granada capital, Las Gabias, Pinos Puente, Atarfe, Maracena, Churriana de la Vega, Cijuela, Láchar and Purchil.
There have been no reports of structural damage.
Just over a week ago, Benalmadena in the neighbouring province of Malaga. was hit by a 4.1 magnitude earthquake which was also felt in several towns.
