ARCHIVED - Magnitude 3 earthquake in Murcia and Almeria this weekend
The earthquake could be felt in Lorca and Albox this Saturday

The quake occurred at exactly 3.08pm, at a depth of eight kilometres. The epicentre was located between Albox and Huércal Overa, in Arboleas, in the province of Almeria, a few kilometres from the border with the Region of Murcia.
The National Geographic Institute, which measures seismic activity in Spain, initially announced that the quake had reached 3.1 on the Richter scale, but corrected its magnitude to 3 shortly afterwards.
Several residents of parts of Lorca located closest to the border with Almería, such as Almendricos and La Escucha, said they were able to feel the quake, though no one was reported seriously hurt.
This is not the only earthquake recorded in recent days in the area, as on Friday January 6 there was another one in the area of Garrucha, on the Almeria coast, measuring 1.5 degrees, shortly after half past six in the morning.
