The Costa del Sol’s Malaga Airport is the landing point for thousands of tourists every summer, who come to the south of Spain to spend their vacations in the sun and to visit their holiday homes.
It is the third busiest airport in Spain, behind Madrid and Barcelona, and for summer 2023, Malaga Airport has links to no fewer than 142 cities spread across 34 countries.
The country with the most direct flights to and from Malaga Airport is the United Kingdom, with links from the Costa del Sol to 20 different British cities this summer.
There are also 14 cities in Germany that fly to Malaga Airport this summer, and even destinations as far-flung as Montreal (Canada) for around 600 euros return; Luxor (Egypt); and Tel Aviv (Israel).
United Airlines has also recovered its flights between Malaga Airport and New York/Newark for this summer, which were lost in 2019.
