ARCHIVED - Malaga province shook by two earthquakes 90 minutes apart
The strongest quake of magnitude 4.1 was felt in Vélez-Málaga and Torrox
Two earthquakes with the epicentre in the Alboran Sea shook the province of Malaga in the early hours of Saturday morning, November 19, just 90 minutes apart.
One of the quakes registered 4.1 on the Richter scale and the other was of magnitude 3.4, Andalucia's 112 emergency service reported on its Twitter account.

According to information provided by the National Geographic Institute (IGN), the first seismic movement was recorded at 12.32am and, although its initial magnitude was estimated at 3.8, minutes later, in a revised calculation, it was raised to 4.1.
In addition to Vélez-Málaga and Torrox, the tremor, whose epicentre was located at a depth of five kilometres in the southern part of the Alboran Sea, was also felt for several seconds in Melilla with an intensity of 3. 112 received a number of calls from concerned residents in Torrox.
A short while later, at 1.08am, a second quake, with a magnitude of 3.4, occurred in the same area and at a depth of 4km. The 112 emergency service received no calls relating to the second tremor.
