May 10 Malaga’s magical White Night returns this Saturday
A free evening of art, music and culture to celebrate the city after dark

An evening to remember
This special cultural night celebrates the 25th anniversary of the death of Málaga’s own Rafael Pérez Estrada — poet, artist and passionate supporter of the city. Expect dreamlike art installations, creative light displays, open-air concerts and more, all inspired by this year’s surrealist theme: Is what’s going on the day or has the night already started?
What to see and do
You’ll find something for everyone:
- Free concerts in city squares including jazz, gospel, flamenco and pop
- Art installations lighting up the streets, especially Calle Larios
- Museums open late with free entry until midnight
- Open-air dance and theatre performances
- Night tours of the Alcazaba and other landmarks
- Special activities for children in the Nochecita en Blanco programme (including workshops, storytelling sessions, theatre and games.
Plan your evening
Some events require sign-up in advance, often by email — check the full programme on the official website (in Spanish) or head to the information office on Calle Larios for help. It will be open on Friday May 9 and throughout the day and evening on Saturday.
Top tip: It will be busy, so plan ahead and book restaurants in advance.
This is one of Malaga’s best nights of the year. Don’t miss it!
