May 25 Vandalia Trio in the Crescendo Mazarrón cycle at the Centro Cultural
Classical, jazz, funk and flamenco fusion at the Centro Cultural in Mazarrón
This latest event in the Crescendo Mazarrón season for 2024 features the Vandalia Trío, consisting of Pablo Estébanez on double bass, Fernando García on violin and Irene Jiménez on flute.
They are performing a selection of works including JS Bach’s Trío Sonata in D minor, Mozart’s Divertimento in F major, Vittorio Monti’s CZardas and a selection of tunes from the album “GEN”.
Vandalia Trío is a profesional chamber music ensemble where the genres of classical, jazz, Latin, funk and flamenco are often blended, and have toured throughout Spain. They have won awards for inventive pieces such as the “Pantoum Suite”, based on a piano piece by Ravel, and “En Clave Latina”, based on a work by A. Márquez.
The album “GEN” was named the best classical album of the year at the +Músicas awards of 2021.
Their concert at the Centro Cultural in Mazarrón on May 4 begins at 20.00.
