Murcia makes flu and Covid jabs available on request to everyone
As of this Friday, all Murcia residents can get vaccinated without an appointment and not only infants, the elderly and the infirm
Starting this Friday January 12, vaccinations against flu and Covid can be requested in all health centres in the Region of Murcia, without the need for a prior appointment.
The Regional Health Minister, Juan José Pedreño, said of the new policy, “We want to promote vaccination and encourage those who have not yet done so to get immunised against these viruses. Being protected against these respiratory infections, which are the most common, avoids more serious complications.”
The incidence rate of Covid-19 has been climbing significantly once again, and health experts agree that after the mass gatherings of families and friends this Christmas and New Year period, we will continue to see a boom in coronavirus cases over the next two or three weeks.
Such is the extent of the worry that the Spanish government has insisted that everyone must now wear facemasks in health centres across the country as of this Wednesday January 10.
