Autumn may have officially arrived this week, but you wouldn't necessarily know it from the weather in the Region of Murcia. Sunshine, warm temperatures and very little chance of rain are on the cards over the next few days, with inland areas set to feel particularly hot on Friday.

 

Thursday will get off to a slightly cloudier start in parts of eastern Murcia, with low cloud possible during the morning and a small chance of occasional light rain. Elsewhere, skies should be mostly clear or partly cloudy.

 

Temperatures won't change much, with overnight lows of around 14°C to 18°C and afternoon highs reaching 30°C to 32°C. Winds will be generally light, becoming easterly around midday and occasionally moderate.

 

The heat really picks up on Friday, particularly away from the coast. Temperatures are expected to rise inland, with some of the highest readings reaching 36°C or 37°C around places such as Caravaca de la Cruz and Yecla.

 

Coastal areas will be noticeably cooler, with Cartagena expected to reach around 29°C. Skies should remain largely clear, although some low cloud could develop across the southern third of the Region during the morning.

 

Winds will start light and variable before becoming southerly during the afternoon.

 

Saturday brings a small step down in temperatures, although it will remain warm enough to feel more like summer than autumn. Skies should be mostly clear or sunny for much of the day, with some low cloud possible during the morning.

 

Temperatures will fall from Friday's highs while overnight conditions remain fairly similar. Winds will be light and variable before turning southeasterly during the afternoon.

 

The weekend ends with another mainly settled day. Some low cloud is expected during the morning before skies become mostly clear through the afternoon.

 

Temperatures are expected to fall slightly again or remain similar to Saturday, with light winds becoming southeasterly during the afternoon. There is currently no indication of any significant rainfall, with AEMET's Murcia forecast showing a 0% chance of precipitation through the period.
