ARCHIVED - Murcia rioters arrested after fan was fatally stabbed ahead of Spanish Copa del Rey final in Sevilla
Seven other people have also been charged with rioting and public disorder in Sevilla, Andalusia
Nine men, including two from Murcia, have been arrested and charged with rioting and public disorder following a mass fight ahead of Spain's Copa del Rey football final in Sevilla in which a Real Betis fan was stabbed to death in April.
Sources from Murcia Police confirmed the detainees, aged between 22 and 44, were identified through expert analysis of two videos recorded at the scene by security, and were found to be active members of varius "radical fan groups".
The investigation remains open and detectives have not ruled out further arrests.
The fight which led to the death of one fan took place on the terrace of an establishment in Sevilla city on April 23 ahead of the final clash between Real Betis and Valencia Club de Fútbol. A Real Betis fan was also seriously hurt.
Real Betis went on to win their third Copa del Rey title after beating Valencia on penalties.
