New year-round Granada-Amsterdam flights to begin in September
There will be two weekly flights between the Netherlands and Granada, which will be operated all year round
As of September 2024, Granada’s Federico García Lorca Airport is due to get a direct flight connection with Amsterdam airport, to be operated by Dutch company Transavia, the Netherlands’ second largest airline.
This was announced at the international airline summit Capa (Center for Aviation) Airline Leader Summit 2024, one of the most important aviation activity congresses in the world that brings together two hundred executives from airlines from all over the world.
Tickets for the Granada-Amsterdam flights, which will be maintained all year round, will go on sale starting in April.
The idea is to have return flights twice a week.
The Mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, said, “Today an important step is taken for our city. Granada begins to recover connections after the pandemic and we are going to continue putting efforts and work to propose new connections for our province within the framework of these connections that also have to advance in Andalucía.”
It comes shortly after Ryanair decided to add five new flight destinations at Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport for this summer and after Vueling announced that flights from Granada to London Gatwick Airport will be back this April.
