ARCHIVED - Norwegian man arrested in Malaga for drug trafficking from Spain
The 48-year-old fugitive was wanted in Norway for smuggling drugs from Málaga for over a year
A Norwegian man has been arrested in the town of Benalmádena in Málaga province for trafficking drugs from Spain. The 48-year-old fugitive was wanted in Norway for importing drugs into the country from the Spanish peninsula.
On October 21, a European arrest warrant was issued by the judicial authorities of the District Court of Nord-Troms og Senja in Norway, and Spanish National Police made the arrest 12 days later on November 2.
According to the warrant, the man is alleged to have been trafficking drugs from Spain to Norway since autumn 2020. He has now been handed over to the Juzgado Central de Instrucción Número Dos de la Audiencia Nacional de Madrid, and may now be extradited back to his home country to face charges.
